Andante Travellers' kit

Join the Plastic Wars!
When you travel with Andante, water is available at all times on the coach at no cost. In many hot countries we all need to remember to drink more to avoid dehydration.

In most countries outside Europe, tap water is unsafe to drink, and water is sold in plastic containers. Andante’s travellers would probably use 54,000 plastic water bottles in any one year - all of which would have to be disposed of – the refuse of just one small specialist travel company.

Plastic is very, very difficult to get rid of, and we want to do our bit to reduce its usage. The lightweight water bottles we are offering you at cost (£7 inc. postage and packing) are not a sales gimmick - we are just as happy for you to bring your own, but don't expect us to hand out individual plastic bottles all the time! We try to buy big containers of water and then decant it for you.

The same is true of the neatly packed travel cutlery sets by Richardson’s of Sheffield in stainless steel (£6 inc. postage and packing). Perfect for Andante picnics and to keep in your glove compartment in the car later. Please don’t use plastic disposable cutlery.

Andante’s tradition of making picnics led us to discovering some super little packaway picnic sets of knife, fork and spoon with salt and pepper compartments - very good quality with stainless steel blades made by Richardson’s of Sheffield.
A perfect gift for everyone who enjoys getting out and about in the countryside and enjoying an alfresco meal, or to keep in the glove compartment of the car when you are touring.
