Dr Georgina Muskett

Georgina Muskett PhD is Curator of Antiquities at World Museum Liverpool, with responsibility for the Aegean, Greek and Roman collections, and Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology, University of Liverpool.

Biography

Georgina took up her post as Curator of Antiquities at World Museum Liverpool in 2009. She has responsibility for the Classical collections, which includes the Ince Blundell collection of classical sculpture. She also holds an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology, University of Liverpool, where she previously lectured in Greek art and archaeology as well as organising the Continuing Education programme in Archaeology and Ancient Languages.

Georgina's is currently working on several research projects, including a book on Greek sculpture. She is also the author of "Mycenaean Art: a psychological approach" and has written articles on various aspects of Aegean and Greek art.

Georgina has travelled extensively in Greece, and has a particular fondness for the island of Crete.
